As I explained in the Favorite page, I like to do mission work to help others. For the last couple of years the youth group I am a part of has been going to Mission Arlington in Arlington, TX to help out with whatever needs to be done. We have done things from moving people in and out of apartments, moving food, organizing donations, and working with kids in the community in order to make a positive impact on their lives. People go to Mission A to make donations in whatever way they can so that others may benefit from it. The spirit of helping in the community is so great to experience when we come from a background where most everything is handed to us without much work on our part. The people we go to serve have had to work most of their lives to get where they are today. Our goal is to help them out with things they may need such as furniture, clothing, food, and sometimes just plain manpower.

When we go to Mission A, there is a ministry opportunity called Rainbow Express. This is a time where we get the kids in an apartment complex to come out and play games, color paper, and learn about how God came to the world to die for them and to take away their sins. We do this in any way possible and try to keep them interested, though sometimes it is difficult as there are distractions outside. We have so much fun with this, and enjoy going to serve the people in the community of Arlington, TX.
