TLU Experience

The last three and half years at TLU has been a wonderful experience. I was sort of forced to come to TLU which I am glad. I have met some of my best friends here. My freshmen year, I was torn if I wanted to join a sorority or not. It is one of the best decisions I made here at TLU. It allowed me to get more involved in the TLU community, become more of a leader, and meet some wonderful people. The girls of Kappa Pi Gamma will be in the rest of my life. I'm very blessed. TLU also allowed me to Study Abroad to London, England. That was a one in the life time opportunity that I'm glad I took advance of.

Travel

While I studied abroad, I was able to travel to several places in Europe. The countries that I visited were England, Scotland, Ireland, Germany, Italy, and France. It was so easy to jump on a plane from London and go several places during the weekend or over our spring break. During our Easter break, I was able to go to Rome, Italy and attend the Easter service in the Vatican City. It was packed with thousands of people but I was able to see the Pope when he came out to preach. I was able to visit the foreign exchange student that lived with my family 6 years ago. It was nice to see her and her family in Hamburg, Germany.

Traveling to many historical cities was an amazing experience but it can also get very stressful and tiring. It was a relief once all our travels were over. Next time I plan to travel, I will plan to stay in certain cities longer than one or two days.

Cooking

Recently I have become very interested in cooking. I like to watch either the Food Network or the Rachel Ray Show to get new and different recipes. My favorite thing to make is stuffed peppers. It is super easy but tastes very good. My mom likes when I'm home because I will usually take over the cooking. It is very relaxing hobby to do. I also must say that I make some amazing chocolate chip cookies!

Music

I love listening and finding new music. I will spend hours just searching through the program Rhapsody to find new songs. I love all different kinds of music except heavy metal and most classical. The most recent artist that I found that I love is Kate Voegele. It is very calming music that is adult alterative. Music is my way of getting away from the stress of everyday life. If I'm in a bad mood, music will be able to cheer me up faster than anything else.
