My favorite type of music that I like to listen is either R&B or Hip Hop/Rap. Whenever I have things on my mind or just need to relax, I like to listen to R&B. R&B just gives me a vibe that lets me that everything is going to be alright. Hip Hop/Rap is the type of music that I like to listen to when I get ready to go out or whenever I'm driving. Hip Hop/Rap makes me hype and ready for anything, which is why I like to listen to it everyday.

I would have to say that my favorite food is salmon croquettes. The very first time my mother cooked them was about three years ago. After the first bite I was in heaven. I like to eat them with broccoli&cheese and scalloped potatoes. Every time I go home to visit my family, my mom cooks them for me since I don't think there is any possible way I can get them here on the TLU campus.
When I first arrived at TLU, I thought I had made a terrible decision because I didn't make friends right away. As time went by, I made a lot of friends and joined organizational groups here on campus. Now every time I walk out my door, I see someone I know. I love the classroom experience because TLU really does live up to their slogan: Small Classes, Big Difference. At TLU, I am able to receive the one on one help that I need from my professors. Also my academic advisor, Melanie Thompson, has helped so much since I have been here. After experiencing just a small portion of all the wonderful things that TLU has to offer, I know that I will prosper and achieve my goals as a TLU student.
Compared to my hometown, Seguin is a metropolis. In Waelder there are only three stores and not a single one is a chain link of a corporation like Valero or Shell. Seguin has many opportunities available to TLU. Last semester I was hired at Dollar Tree part-time. In Waelder there are no job opportunities except Cal-Maine or J&B Foods. On any given day I can find something to do in Seguin. Whether it's going to the movies are to Wal-Mart, Seguin is a better city than my hometown.
I have been to several different states over the years. When I was 13, I went to Las Vegas with my family and stayed at the Circus Circus hotel and casino. On our way there, we stopped at the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam to take pictures to show our relatives. When I was 14, I went on a four day cruise with my entire family to the Bahamas. The Carnival cruise line ship stopped at the islands of Nassau and Freeport. While on the island we where able to purchase souvenirs and other native items. When I was 16, my family and I went drove to Mount Rushmore. I even got to see the Crazy Horse monument and live buffalo cross main highways. Someday I hope to be able to visit Australia, because I would love to see kangaroos and koalas in their natural habitat.
Both my mother and father are semi-religious. When I was younger, I went to church every Sunday in my nicest dress. As I grew older, I tended only to go about twice a month. I now belong the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church of Waelder, Texas. I was baptized there when I was eleven years old, I even still have my certificate that was given to me by my pastor, Ron C. Moore.
