Helping Others
Even though I already spent several months in New Orleans doing volunteer relief work, I would love to go back and be of use in the continued rebuilding of the city. I had the time of my life in New Orleans helping out those who were less fortunate. After a long day of construction work we would eat a delicious dinner prepared by volunteers and then go home; which was actually the home of a family we didn't know before who agreed to put us up while we were helping rebuild.
A part of me will probably remain in New Orleans forever. It is a beautiful city that doesn't deserve to be called "the city that care forgot." New Orleans is home for millions of people. It would be a great travesty to let it slip into the Gulf of Mexico. It is our duty to help the citizens of New Orleans.
