Helping Others

When it comes to helping others I always say what is the right thing to do.  Sometimes I help others by putting out a hand for somebody in need like if an old man was trying to find his glasses or something like that.  I don't always jump in to help because some people don't want to be helped at all so I always ask "Hey, is there something I can do to help?" most people would say, "No thanks, but thanks for the offer."  I always want to help and it puts a smile on my face when I help somebody out. 

I have helped in multiple ways.  I remember my freshmen year in high school when I decided to go do Habitat for Humanity.  That day I got to dig up some dirt and moved around some stuff.  That was also the day I knew smoking was a bad idea.  The leader guy was smoking and I said, "Hey why are you smoking? It is bad for you."  the man said, " It is real addicting and it is really bad.  You should never smoke."  That was very important to me.  That same year I went to Reynosa, Mexico and helped do some stuff at a children's orphanage.  We got to dig out roots, pour some cement, and kind of tear down the house.  It was really hard work but it was worth to see a child smile.
